Intel does not manufacture Smartphone processors but why ?
Intel is geared for high-priced, high-performance processors. They have designed all their fabs with that assumption.
On the business side, Intel has had almost forever mountains of cash they were deploying to build more and more cutting edge fabs to strangle the competition for capex.
