NASA has finally reestablished communications with the record-setting interstellar spacecraft.
Voyager 2 is about 11 billion miles from the Earth , left Earth in 1977, followed by Voyager 1.
In 1981 voyager 2 sailed past Saturn and scooped up so much information that it really changed how we view the massive planet.
Such images were capturing Venus, Earth, Jupiter, Saturn, Uranus and Neptune, and the collage of them made up the so-called “Solar System family portrait”.
Revealed the Great Red Spot to be a complex storm system, and also imaged several smaller storms in the planet’s atmosphere.
Voyager 2 is more than capable of giving us a play-by-play of its journey through the stars.
