Methane ice dunes found on Pluto by Nasa spacecraft
Pluto's atmosphere was believed to be too thin to create the features familiar in deserts on Earth.
BYU professor Jani Radebaugh and an international team studied NASA images from the New Horizons mission and found that the surface of Pluto has many Earth-like features including a heart-shaped glacier and dunes.
