A security guard jumped into action when a man holding an AR-15 walked into a methadone clinic in Buffalo, New York, on Thursday, November 10, as seen in security footage.
Reynaldo Beckford, the quick-thinking security guard, ultimately subdued the gunman with the help of another guard and civilians, according to local news reports.
Video released by the Buffalo Police shows the suspect entering the substance-abuse-treatment clinic and discharging his weapon into the wall before the security guard and others contained him.
The police thanked the two security guards and the two civilians “for heroic actions that helped prevent any injuries.” They said the suspect was taken into custody.
