Pluto is the ninth planet in the solar system: well, at least it used to be, until experts decided in 2006 to strip the tranquil celestial body of its planetary status. However, 2006 was also the year NASA sent a probe called New Horizons into space to explore Pluto up close for the first time! And what it found surprised everyone: a gigantic heart-shaped ice surface four times larger than Germany; glaciers moving across the surface; and huge ice volcanoes spewing out a frosty mixture of water and methane! But that's not all: there are even indications that a liquid ocean lies dormant beneath Pluto's crust! But does that mean that life could already have developed there? Stay tuned until the end and find out with us!
